Chris Duffill has a background of more than 25 years’ experience in popular music recording, production and performance, composition and session work as a keyboard player and electronic musician. Music production skills and techniques of synthesis, sampling and sequencing have all been learnt on the job as the technology has developed, and he is equally comfortable with electronic dance styles and more live-orientated rock.
Chris has been teaching the Music Technology A-level course since 2000, working with a number of centres as a teacher, and also as an INSET provider and course advisor. He is currently a Principal Examiner at A2 Music Technology and has been closely involved with bringing the new specification into being. He is co-author of the 2007 Key Stage 3 Elements series, and the Edexcel Music Technology AS Revision Guide, both published by Rhinegold.
