Jane Werry

Jane read Music at Cambridge University...

Jane Werry read Music at Cambridge University, and has been Director of Music at Hayes School in Bromley since 1999. At Hayes she shares responsibility for professional development in teaching and learning.  In 2013 her department was a finalist in the Best School Music Department category of the Music Teacher Awards for Excellence. Jane is an A level composition moderator for OCR, a member of TeachTalk:Music, and is also a frequent contributor to Music Teacher magazine. She is one of the authors of Teaching Music: Practical Strategies for KS3 (Rhinegold Education, 2013). Alongside her education activities, Jane has always maintained a performing schedule, regularly singing around South East England in light opera, oratorio and pop. She is also an enthusiastic ukulele player, running and performing in various community bands.
