Martin Said

Martin began as a professional musician and composer...

In a previous life Martin Said was a professional musician and composer. He started teaching at Cramlington Learning Village in 2003 and after a hiatus working in the industry, returned to the school in 2007. In 2008 Martin took charge of "Create", a trans-disciplinary subject in Key Stage 3 which combines Music, Media and Drama, and became Head of Music in 2010. The school became a Musical Futures champion school in 2011. He has a specific interest in Enquiry and Project Based Learning and how to use these approaches alongside Musical Futures and informal learning. Martin keeps a blog (http://teachingandlearningmusic.blogspot.com/) which documents his learning in EBL & PBL.
