We were delighted when our book, How to Create a Successful Music Ensemble, was shortlisted for the Best Print Resource award at the inaugural Music Teacher Awards for Excellence – and we’re even more delighted to have won!
Over the last few weeks we’ve been releasing papers for the ‘flipped conference’ style session planned for the Music Education Expo, curated by TeachTalk: Music. Debates in Music Education will be an unmissable opportunity to discuss current thinking in music education with some highly respected guest speakers.
All the papers are now available to download and absorb before the session, so the time can be devoted to the debate. In addition, shorter abstract versions are available below, and print copies will be available on the Rhinegold Education stand (E3) on Wednesday and Thursday.
On Saturday 16th March it’s Learn to Play Day, and lots of music shops around the country are offering free taster music lessons to people of any age. A whole range of instruments are available to try, and some famous musicians will be out there offering their advice and encouragement. This is a brilliant opportunity to find out if you should really be learning the trombone, or what it feels like to get behind a drum kit.
